Today was SO VERY BUSY, I could barely pop my camera out of my bag. So, tonight I offer a photo of a drummer from Ghana who played at our International Food Festival at school last Saturday. This photo will not be unusual to my friends here—they, too, heard them play and saw them. This drummer is part of a troop that apparently plays all around town. I believe he was recruited to come and play at our school after watching him successfully play to children at the Emirates Park Zoo in Abu Dhabi.
While he took his drumming as seriously as anyone ever could, he played to children’s hearts as buoyantly as you can imagine. I think that’s why he’s great at his job. They were really fun to watch.
