Daily-ish Photo–Wonder Cat

Because I feel like almost every day here in the UAE offers me some new opportunity to travel from the sublime to the ridiculous, today I offer up Wonder Cat! I love Wonder woman. I am not into comics, but I just loved the show in the 1970s. If Wonder woman was awesome, wonder cat could only be better, right?

We stopped the other day into this unusual store in the World Trade Center in Abu Dhabi. It was called Rodeo something or other. It was a kitschy store filled with clothes that fit people shaped like toothpicks that are, of course, twenty. But, that didn’t stop me from finding some humor and fun there. Humor came to me in the form of these cat and dog famous people pillows. I was most struck by wonder cat because I love, love, love Wonder woman, but there were so many other weird pillows to see. There was Amy Winehouse cat, Snoopy doggy dog, Katy Perry Cat, et al. I wish I could have taken a shot of each and every one, but the store salespeople already thought I was kooky enough. I did really enjoy the juxtaposition of items in the store. It was very creative.
